Colorado Ski Academy establishes a coordinator with each school. This is our "liaison" person who functions as a communicator between us, the school, and parents. At some schools, this person is the principal. Other schools have a teacher or other staff member who has an interest in the program. Other schools have parents of students who volunteer to be our coordinator.

The coordinator works with us to initially set the dates for the trips, and may help to oversee distribution of the registration forms to the students. They may also assist in promoting the trips to parents and students. It is up to the school, and the individual coordinator, if they wish their name and phone number listed on the registration forms for parents to contact with questions.

The other responsibility of the coordinator is to provide the adult chaperones for each trip. After we pick up and process the registration forms, we contact the coordinator and tell them how many chaperones are needed. Each bus will need two adult chaperones. These chaperones supervise the students while they are on the coach, and at the end of the day in the school parking lot until all students have been picked up by parents.

Chaperones are not generally hard to find, as they receive their entire package free. Chaperones are provided with transportation, lift ticket, free or discounted rental equipment, and an adult half day lesson if they want it. This is well over a $100.00 value. While the coordinator MAY be one of the chaperones, it is not a requirement.
